The Show

Young princess Snow White was exiled by her jealous stepmother, Queen Esmerelda, because she reminded the King too much of her deceased mother, his first wife. Since the King died, the Queen has ruled the land alone. However, now come of age, Snow White returns home to marry Prince Omogene to whom she was betrothed as a child. The Queen fears that, once they marry, Snow White will lay claim to the throne. Furthermore, when the wicked Queen consults her magical, talking Mirror and discovers she is no longer the fairest in the land, she vows to get rid of the fair princess. So, she dispatches a couple of huntsmen to intercept Snow White and Omogene’s rendezvous in the woods, and instructs them to kill Snow White.

When royal servant, Nanny Haddock, overhears the evil plot, she enlists the help of the seven, jewel-mining dwarfs - Happy, Grumpy, Sleepy, Bashful, Doc, Dopey, and Sneezy. Thanks to their intervention the plan is foiled, and Snow White is brought safely to live with them in their cottage in the woods.

However, when the queen consults her mirror and discovers Snow White is still alive. She is outraged, and sets out to finish the job off herself.

Were Nanny Haddock and the Dwarfs save Snow White from the evil Queen? Of course they were, this is panto after all, but as for how, you had to be there to find out.
